“The World Wagakupedia” is a service that allows users to view a variety of information related to Japanese traditional music instruments (Wagakki), such as Japanese music instrument shops, classes, local groups of musicians, and minyo izakaya (Japanese folk song pubs) around the world, all in one place on a map.
Information can be narrowed down and searched by specifying the category, musical instrument, style, etc. you wish to view from the search field on the left side of the screen.

This is one of the largest information search services for Japanese music instrument shops.

How to use

In the search field on the left side of the screen, check the items you wish to view.
Markers for facilities, organizations, etc. that meet the criteria are displayed on the map.

Management
This service is privately operated by Tanishi, the administrator of Jonkara dot com.
Until now, there has been no centralized service to search for information on various shops in the Japanese musical instrument world, including types and styles of instruments, making it difficult and inconvenient to find out the existence of Japanese instrument shops and classes in your neighborhood.
I think this is also a cause of the high threshold for Japanese musical instruments.
I launched this service with the hope of supporting the Japanese musical instrument world which is in a critical situation by consolidating and providing information on this site, and to let many people know that Japanese musical instruments are accessible to them.
All data are posted by the administrator after checking the contents.
Currently, only some areas are supported, but I’m planning to increase the number of information, and eventually aim to provide a service that covers all the information on Japanese music maps all around the world.
Information on facilities and organizations is verified by the administrator through websites, street views, review sites, etc. as much as possible, but we do not guarantee 100% accuracy.
